Dominion Developmental Academy is a premiere "faith-based" learning
environment, developed by Edvantage +, to provide a holistic learning experience that promotes academic, personal,
social, and life-skills development. Invariably, students that come to Dominion have gaps in their learning and
have not had significant achievement in the public school setting.
Dominion is an approved school by the North Carolina Department of Non-Public Instruction and adheres to providing
its students with a course of study that meets the standard requirements of the NC Department of Education.
The Dominion Developmental Academy provides an alternative learning environment where the student receives a more
individualized instruction that fosters academic and critical thinking skill development. Students will also be
involved in "self-discovery" that will help them learn and inspire them to cultivate their uniqueness.
A vital component is exposing the student to the opportunity to develop character and discipline from a "faith-based"
perspective. The program also provides opportunities for students to engage in activities that promote sound physical
and mental health and artistic development.
Another important aspect is to provide a focus on community service learning that will allow students to realize
they can become leaders and productive members of the world community. Dominion Developmental Academy stresses
parental involvement in the overall development of their child. The interest and involvement of parents, in
their child's development, is an important factor in a student's success. Dominion Developmental Academy is designed
